At Enterprise South Liverpool Academy we realise that every student is different. Everybody has their own talents and interests, as an Academy our purpose is to ensure that all our students discover, explore and reach their full potential.
We are committed to working with all our young people to develop their own personal pathways to success. Pathways will be provided through a strong focus on innovation and excellence in the provision of the right curriculum, the highest quality of teaching and the best learning support for every student.
We are pleased to share with you some of the statements that Ofsted made in their visit to us on 9th and 10th March 2015.
'The improvement in the quality of leadership of teaching and learning is impressive. There is a developing programme of continuing professional development which has a sharper focus on raising achievement.'
'In order to gauge a more accurate view of the overall quality of teaching, leaders have rightly focussed on evaluating the impact of teaching on students’ learning over time.'
The preferred and often best method of contact is by telephone. Please be aware teaching staff are usually not available to return phone calls until after lessons finish at 3:00pm. Another way to make contact is through the Contact Us page on our website. If you would like a call back please make sure you leave your full name, telephone number and the member of staff who you would like to call you back.
The Academy strives to provide the right curriculum for every child and subject departments regularly review their programme of learning to ensure the engagement of all students.
At ESLA we recognise that the personal development of students, spiritually, morally, socially and culturally plays a significant part in their ability to learn and achieve. We therefore aim to provide an education that provides young people with opportunities to explore and develop their own values and beliefs, spiritual awareness, high standards of personal behaviour, a positive caring attitude towards other people, an understanding of their social and cultural traditions and an appreciation of the diversity and richness of other cultures. All curriculum areas have a contribution to the spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of our students and opportunities for this will be planned in each area of the curriculum as well as through extra-curricular activities.
All students at the Academy are expected to dress neatly and take pride in their appearance. Students are expected to wear the complete Academy uniform.
The Academy uniform can be purchased from Laser Schoolwear.

Telephone the Academy on the first day of absence and let us know when your son/daughter will return. If you are unsure when your son/daughter will return we ask that you telephone each morning until he/she returns.
When your son/daughter returns please send in a note explaining the absence to their form teacher or if appropriate a medical note/appointment card.
If this is not done then your son/daughter will receive an unauthorised absence on the register. Unauthorised absences do not look good on your son/daughter's attendance record and this record may be requested by colleges and work placements prior to acceptance. Also, poor attendance (and especially unauthorised absences) can result in action from the Education Welfare Officer, this includes fines up to £60 and court action.
